So I went to Starbucks drive-thru today to order my favorite holiday beverage, the gingerbread latte. After ordering the woman taking my order confirmed that I ordered a “grande non-fat, no-whip gingersnap latte.”
Wait? A ginger what?
Oh snap, they changed the name on me. They better not have changed the taste.

Sometimes I use words and phrases without really knowing what they mean. I just sent someone a change of address notification and said “please update your records accordingly.”
I’m not sure I really know what accordingly means or why I even used it in that sentence. It just seems like a phrase you hear a lot. [...]

I drove behind a Toyota Sequoia today. When I got to a stoplight I just kept staring at the word sequoia. Something was mesmerizing  me about the word. Then it hit me. The word sequoia has all five vowels in it.
