So yesterday I went to see my doctor and he and I ended up jibber-jabbering for about 5 minutes when he suddenly breaks out into a story that starts with “You should have seen this one guy I had to treat.”
As I listened to the story (and admittedly it was a good one), I couldn’t help but wonder if I myself have ever been “that one guy” in my doctor’s stories to his other patients. Who knows? Maybe I have been unknowingly cheering up other patients.
