This morning I had my bi-annual checkup at the dentist. On the list of things I look forward to in life, this one definitely sinks to the bottom. As if my normal fear of the dentist wasn’t enough, I now fear which dental hygeniest I am going to get when I walk through the door.

Sometimes I wonder how our kids learn anything. Or maybe I’m just finally understanding why children think their parents are crazy. Look at what we tell them while they’re growing up:

Has anyone ever said something to you that, out of context, caught you off guard? I was at the bank today withdrawing cash when the teller said to me, “Is there any particular way you would like it?”
Ummm, yeah, I knew she was talking about what denomination of bills I wanted.
